Food Safety Initiative

At Indiana Packers Corporation, we are committed to ensuring the safety of the pork products that we provide to our customers, family and friends. All of our food handling and hygiene standards employed at our production facility are developed and managed with the sole focus of providing the highest level of food safety. While highly effective, these plant food safety standards are but a link in our food safety chain and therefore dependent on others within the chain for overall success.

One of the most critical links in this chain is our producer supply partners and their commitment to provide food animals which have been humanely raised, healthy, and are free of antibiotic residues or other hazardous substances that may impact the safety of our finished products. This critical link is so important to the overall safety of our products that we require our producer supply partners to participate in a program that we call our Producer Food Safety Initiative. This program focuses on producer education and the establishment of good production practices that will support the safety of our pork products.
